Again, he thinks thus: At present, I have only the sense faculties, only objects, only the sensations arising from them, only the mind, only the falsely designated self and what belongs to self, only views, only fabricated things that are obtainable here. Beyond this, there is nothing more, whether exceeding or adding. Similarly, I have only the aggregates that are obtainable. In the aggregates, there is no eternal, constant, abiding master, whether said to be the self, or said to be a sentient being, or again, said to be that which is born, ages, falls ill, and dies, or again, said that they can create karmas, can experience various results and ripening. Therefore, all conditioned phenomena are entirely empty, because there is no self. Thus, it is called the practice of non-attainment, entering into the practice of emptiness.
The yogi again has such a thought: At present, I have only the sense faculties, only objects, only the sensations arising from the contact of faculties and objects, only the mind that can experience, only the falsely designated self and what belongs to self, only knowledge and views, only fabricated things that are obtainable. Beyond this, there are no more dharmas exceeding this. Similarly, I have only the aggregates that are obtainable. In the aggregates, there is no eternal, constant, abiding master, whether said to be the self, or said to be a sentient being, or again, said to be that which is born, ages, falls ill, and dies, or said that the aggregates can create karmas, can experience various results and ripening. From this principle, it is shown that all conditioned phenomena are entirely empty, and there is no self within them. Thus, it is called the practice of non-attainment entering into the practice of emptiness.
