Original text:言圣住者。谓空住无愿住。无相住。灭尽定住。言天住者。谓诸静虑。诸无色住。言梵住者。谓慈住悲住喜住舍住。又于尔时。至极究竟。毕竟无垢。毕竟证得梵行边际。离诸关键。已出深坑。已度深堑。已能摧伏彼伊师迦。是为真圣。摧灭高幢。已断五支。成就六支。

Explanation: The so-called noble abode refers to the abode of emptiness, the abode of wishlessness, the abode of signlessness, and the abode of the cessation of perception and feeling (saṃjñā-vedayita-nirodha). The so-called divine abode refers to the various states of meditative concentration (dhyāna) and all the abodes of the formless realms. The so-called brahma abode refers to the abode of loving-kindness, the abode of compassion, the abode of joy, and the abode of equanimity. Furthermore, at that time, when all afflictions have been completely exhausted, one reaches the ultimate, with no more defilement, and ultimately attains the farthest limit of the pure holy life, departing from all critical points, having already climbed out of the deep pit, having already crossed the deep chasm, having already been able to crush that lofty mountain of conceit — this is a true noble one, having destroyed the banner of towering pride, having already severed the five links of afflictive outflows — greed, hatred, delusion, conceit, and doubt — and having accomplished the six links of merit: morality, meditation, wisdom, liberation, and the knowledge and vision of liberation.
